Greetings ~

In 1957, in the city of Tulsa, a brand new Plymouth Belvedere was buried on the town hall's front lawn. Why you say? Well, it was to be a time capsule of sorts. A new car of that period along with items of the year 1957.

For the next 50-years the Plymouth rested under ground with three feet of dirt between it and society as it moved along into the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and the new century, 2000. Seven years later, in 2007, the Plymouth's grave was opened and the citizens plus the world got a big surprise. They wondered, what condition would the car be in? Would it just be a big pile of rusted dust? Would it still look like the day it was buried? Would it start and run?

This blog shows the burial and the resurrection. The whole process did not go as planed. But it was still an historical event in Tulsa. The car dubbed, Miss. Belvedere, is still with us today. Here we see the burial, the digging up and the future of Miss. Belvedere.
